On the eve of the Second World War Panerai created the first prototypes of the model now known as the "Radiomir" for the frogman commandos of the First Submarine Group Command of the Royal Italian Navy. In 1950 Panerai launched the Luminor which would further popularize the brand. The present watch is a beautifully maintained example of the Luminor complete with two extra straps (one rubber, one leather), strap changing tool, original box, guarantee card, and sales receipt.
