Fernier et Freres was founded in Besancon, France in the 1800s as a maker of pocket watches. The present example is a ladies' pendant watch. The setting mechanism and dial printing is consistent with fine timepieces in the late 1800s. The overall look is classical and the execution of the design is clean and matches the fine work of the pendant.

Condition
Wear commensurate with age. Dial is in excellent condition, with some slight aging. Case is excellent, with minor scratches. Movement is not running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in excellent condition. One diamond is missing. Several diamonds are chipped otherwise in very good condition.
